These videos were created either as part of my graduate work in Library and Information Science or as a Children's Services Supervisor at Frederick County Public Libraries. All videos were edited and completed by me. The content of the FCPL videos belongs to FCPL. All videos can be expanded to full screen.
2015 - present Head Librarian & Teacher

Teach two classes each day, Creative Writing and Intro to 3D Printing. Staff and maintain the school library including making improvements to digital databases, the physical collection, and changes to the physical space to create a more welcoming, useful resource for teachers and students. Advise and compile the yearbook, organize a monthly book club, and consult with the tech department on necessary improvements to the Learning Commons and the school in general.
2014 - 2015 Children's Services Supervisor & Assistant Branch Administrator

Supervised a staff of six while serving as a Children’s Librarian and Assistant Branch Administrator. Presented weekly storytimes, developed, and executed programs for children aged 0-12 on a quarterly basis. Worked with a team of three other supervisors to oversee and deliver Summer Reading programs, develop and implement system-wide storytime standards, as well as supervise day-to-day duties of children’s staff for the system.
2012 - 2013 Summer Library Club Coordinator & Early Literacy Specialist

Organized (as part of Children’s Services Team) and presented weekly storytimes for children ages 0-4, created and presented programs system-wide, and aided with circulation and collection development. Trained in SIRSI/Dynix catalog system, Title Source 3 ordering interface, and eVanced Events software. Helped to supervise 4 Library Assistants on Children's floor. Responsible for ordering board books for the system as well as special collections for programs, especially Summer Library Club.
2005 - 2012 English Teacher, Department Chair, & Head Librarian

Organized and re-structured the school library including weeding a large portion of the collection (incredibly outdated) and negotiating new contracts for updated, more useful student databases. Taught American Literature, AP English Language, and Creative Writing. Instituted changes to English Department policies, re-established student literary magazine, led monthly department meetings, named Archdiocese of Baltimore Teacher of the Year 2010.
